AeroPress Brewing Guide

The AeroPress is a versatile brewing method renowned for producing a clean, sweet and full-flavoured cup in just a few minutes. By combining immersion brewing with gentle pressure extraction, the AeroPress highlights clarity, body and balance while preserving the unique characteristics of each coffee origin.

This brewing method works exceptionally well with coffees from Guatemala, Ethiopia and Costa Rica, bringing out notes of chocolate, citrus, honey, florals and stone fruits.

Recommended Recipe

  • Coffee: 15g

  • Water: 250ml

  • Water Temperature: 92–94°C

  • Grind Size: Medium-Fine (slightly finer than table salt)

  • Brew Time: 2:00 min

  • Ratio: 1:16.7

For optimal results, use 15 grams of freshly ground coffee and 250 ml of water. A medium-fine grind combined with water at 92–94°C will produce a balanced cup with excellent sweetness, clarity and body.

  • Kettle

  • Scale with Timer

Brewing Method

  1. Insert a paper filter into the AeroPress cap and rinse thoroughly with hot water.

  2. Assemble the AeroPress and place it securely over your cup.

  3. Add 15g of freshly ground coffee.

  4. Start your timer and pour 250ml of hot water evenly over the coffee grounds.

  5. Stir gently for approximately 10 seconds to ensure all grounds are fully saturated.

  6. Insert the plunger and allow the coffee to steep.

  7. At 1:30 minutes begin pressing slowly and steadily.

  8. Finish pressing at approximately 2:00 minutes.

  9. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Adjusting Flavour

  • For a stronger cup, increase the dose to 16–18g of coffee.

  • For a lighter cup, use 13–14g of coffee.

  • If the coffee tastes sour, increase the water temperature or extend the brew time slightly.

  • If the coffee tastes bitter, reduce the water temperature or use a slightly coarser grind.

Guatemala Huehuetenango

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe

Costa Rica Tarrazú

Sweet and balanced with flavours of honey, orange, brown sugar and milk chocolate. Produces a clean, juicy cup with crisp acidity and exceptional sweetness.
